Note From Seamus
Coolaney Utd are on the verge of a new season and so as
with all things new, "change is the growth of progress".
First and foremost : I will no longer be running this Website as this
will be in the more capable hands of Stephen Farry.
Please check out the notes page for a full
update on the new season ahead as Jerry O Grady has a lot of plans for
the forthcoming season. I have enjoyed my time in running this site but
as news on the ground was hard to come by as I was not in a position to
attend most the matches I could not give an accurate representation
of the clubs position on and off the field. I will no longer be involved
with the Club and I wish it every succes in the future. I first joined
Coolaney Utd in 1975 so I suppose it is time to cut loose. When I first
played football for Coolaney that was all that mattered in my life
"Football". Lived and drank and ate "Football".
I would like to thank a few people who I have played and worked with
through the years First I think Jerry Mulvaney who along with myself
lead Coolaney to their first League Title in the 94/95 season. Michael
Monaghan who gave me my first game for Coolaney, Noel Farry and Jerry O
Grady Brian Mac Dermott (a good friend) who always had Coolaney Utd
close to their hearts and kept it going through thick and thin and to
all who have played and supported Coolaney Utd throughout the years. It
is still here 30 years later.Well Done!
With these sentiments I bid farewell to you all.
I have a few other web projects which I may put in the pipeline in the
future and I hope to be still able to run an odd Quiz. Sorry for going
on so long but I needed to say all this
Thanks Seamus
