Founded in 1975, Coolaney United Football Club has been at the heart of our local community in County Sligo for over 50 years. What began as a shared passion for the beautiful game has grown from the original adult senior team into a vibrant, inclusive, and modern community club supporting over 250 active players—from our youngest four-year-olds taking their first touches in our Saturday Morning Academy Nursery all the way up to our Adult Senior amateur squad.

At Coolaney United, we believe football is about far more than scoreboard results. We are dedicated to providing a safe, positive, and encouraging environment where young people can learn, grow, make lifelong friends, and develop a genuine love for the sport. Guided by our club ethos "Our DNA - The Coolaney United Football Philosophy" and the FAI Player Development Plan, our coaching focuses on technical confidence, creative expression, equal playing time, and fair play.

As an accredited FAI Club Mark body, we pride ourselves on maintaining elite standards in child safeguarding, volunteer support, and community governance. Whether you are a player, parent, volunteer coach, or local supporter, you will always find a warm welcome in the Coolaney United family.
